i was often told that the only disfellowshipping offence for a j.w.
is non repentance.. what then is non repentance to the w.t?.
my answer " rejecting " w.t" doctrine and rules that demand repentance.. now the truth is i do reject " w.t" doctrine and rules.
Punk, not quite the answer I was expecting. But it gives me a great money making scheme.
hurry! hurry! No time to loose, buy your lottery ticket and you may be the lucky winner, to throw the switch on the G.B. All you need to do is send your enclosed lucky number and either in not more than 10,000 words, or not less than 100 reasons explain why you should be the deserving winner.

What then is non repentance to the W.T?
My answer " rejecting " W.T" doctrine and rules that demand repentance.
Now the truth is I do reject " W.T" doctrine and rules. If I were not to reject these doctrines and rules I would be rejecting myself. Because of this choice I can now do what I think is right with my life, not what I am told is right by the W.T. As a consequence I have personal freedom in my life.
With that personal freedom I have decided that I won't repent to the W.T for rejecting their doctrines and laws that demand repentance. I have discovered the greatest benefit of this decision is that by being non repentant I have become a more compassionate person.
It would therefore be a little hypocritical of me to criticise those awakened to the W.T.that remain in the organisation for what ever reason and what ever position they hold. Personally I have chosen to fade and not disassociate.
I would however for greater understanding like to ask, how posters have handled awakening to the W.T. I can imagine this has produced some very sympathetic and difficult personal decision making?

how do i feel about this?.
too much doubt.. shame on you people who are responsible for putting richard to death.. richard is scheduled to be put to death in oklahoma at 3pm on september 16th by lethal injection.
i have followed this case and feel like so many people very bad about this.
I believe that if a death sentence is to be carried out:-
A) There should be absolutely no doubt the accused is guilty beyond doubt.
B) If there is the slightest possibility that a person is innocent they should not proceed with the execution.
In this case there is no physical evidence, and a sentence based on hear say. So why should the death penalty apply?

how many here have been asked the loyalty question by an elder.
i am referring to, "do you believe that jehovah is using the faithful and discreet slave class to accomplish his work?
" or something along this line?.
I received this " loyalty question " when an elder telephoned. I replyed why do you ask? I assume you have another elder listening to establish the two witness rule, in response to my answer?
I don't remember the elders reply, but by having educated myself to anticipate this question, my answer caught him unawares. That telephone call I am pleased to say, has been my last contact with the elders.

because it wasn't true anyway.
it was a dream.
the insanest dream, to believe that i was going to live forever.. but today i am alive, and i am determined to travel the seconds between life and death aware of my mortality.
xjwrocks, thanks for the kind words, and useful research material. I also found your experience interesting, particularly as you mentioned in your post being a serving elder. This made me realise that my blanket rule of being harsh on all serving elders needs to be reconsidered.

The following statement is worth reading twise:-
" This court has never held that the constitution forbids the execution of a convicted defendant who has had a fair trial, BUT IS LARTER able to convince a court that he is actually innocent" Antonia Scalla ( Supreme Court)
Furthermore I am not claiming to be smarter than the Governor of Oaklahoma, who says:-
" We find none of the material to be credible evidence of Richard Gossips INNOCENCE"
The Rebel:- But surely that is the wrong way around? Isn't it criminal guilt that needs to be established " beyond a reasonable doubt?" Credible evidence of innocence is great, but doesn't taking the uncoraberated statement of a confessed killer as the only basis for a death sentence raise reasonable doubt?
The list of people who received the death sentence and were later esonerated would make a long thread. Now I am not saying Richard is innocent. Truth is I don't know. But public opinion spoke out yesterday, because people do know the " evidence" in this case is simply not suffient for capital punishment.

Sir82:- Execution halted.
Tempoariy relief then another two weeks of mental torture to endure, before the new date on sept 30th. That's twice now Richard has been hours from that lethal injection. Surely that is enough to break mentally even the strongest of us.
It amazes me that they choose to execute this man on such a weak case. It amazes me because it wouldn't be the first time an innocent man has been executed. It amazes me because if they want to execute someone, then there are so many who have committed the most vile and evil crimes where guilt is not an issue,

Simon the convicted killer, the man who did the killing is in prison. He got life rather than death by implicating Richard, as the man who put him up to it.
As if that is compelling evidence to put a man to death.
As for motive?
